Public seminar with technology giant Huawei
On 8th November 2017, the MAS in European and Chinese Business Management programme at the University of Zurich had the great pleasure of inviting Huawei Technology Switzerland represented by Mr. Lin Zijing, Mr. Tony Li Fan and Mr. Björn Bauer to hold a public seminar on the topic "Huawei Goes Global - Intercultural Challenges within the Swiss Market". The Huawei HR Directors shared their experiences in working internationally for Huawei, and provided valuable insights into challenges in the workplace from cross-cultural perspectives. The underlining importance of cultural sensitivity for effective and successful collaboration in today's diverse work environment has underpinned the relevance and timeliness of setting cross-cultural competences as the core curricular of the MAS programme. The exchange and interactions between world leading companies like Huawei and the University of Zurich are greatly appreciated.
