The MAS course is composed of the following modules.

Fundamentals in International Management (27 ECTS)

13 course-blocks à 1-3 full days

European Business Management (12 ECTS)

8 course-blocks à 1-3 full days

  • Case Studies on Cross-Border Business - Focus Europe

  • Strategic Branding and Retailing - Swarovski's Practice
  • Swiss Competitiveness

Practical Project/Internship (4 ECTS)

Participants complete a practical project (in the form of an internship, start-up project, case study research, etc.) for a period of 4-6 months. The practical project takes place in Europe or in China.

 

Master Thesis (10 ECTS)

Students write their Master thesis within the last 3 months of the program. The thesis is written in groups of 2-3 students. The thesis is supervised by instructors from the program.

 

Additional courses

In addition to these four modules, elective courses are provided. These include seminars on the latest developments in the business world and Chinese/German language classes (free of charge for the first semester for MAS students).

Fundamentals in International Management (27 ECTS)

MAS Timeline 2021_22

The first semester comprises 51 ECTS and is based on weekly block courses of one to three days. All courses are taught at the UZH campus, either at the UZH city campus or the UZH Center for Continuing Education (Zentrum für Weiterbildung). Due to the situation around Covid-19, courses may take place in UZH external locations to ensure social distancing rules.

In the 2021/22 academic year, we are going to offer hybrid teaching. Students are expected to spend at least 4 weeks of their studies in Switzerland.
